Kinda disappointed in this thread, was hoping to find things that Americans on Lemmy aren’t ready to hear. Everything here seems like the usual complains that most Americans on Lemmy and even Reddit already aware of.

People say this game has not aged well, I only partially agree with that. Ps2 was my first 3d game console and I played this game on the wii virtual console, and I was just amazed by it. So much so that I thought I should try other n64 games too, but was disappointed at how awfully all of them controlled. This game really did set the bar.
I get hit by dumb influencers before actually seeing what I was looking for.
I don’t think any amount of money could’ve saved the writing for Outlaws. People should not expect great writing from studios like Ubisoft. Not to say that Ubisoft doesn’t have great talent, but it’s a “too many cooks” situation there.
