This is my first time visiting it and I’m eager for your input. What’s your favourite way of getting calico eggs? What do you spend them on? Or do you just spend the whole day in the Skull Caverns? Please share all your tips.
I did everything every day! A bit of fomo I guess. New outfit, picked the easier quest in skull cavern (successful 2/3 days) and took Willy’s quest last (successful 1/3 days, because I ended up running out of time every day).
Hopefully next year’s festival will be better because I’ll be able to craft totems. This year I had to wait for the bus
Cool! I think on spring 16th Pam is a festival attendee and thus doesn’t drive the bus. She’ll leave a sign in front of it and you should be able to drive it yourself any time of the day! The same should also be possible when she’s selected as a vendor (random chance). You can also buy desert totems at the desert trader for 3 omni geodes. :)
In my first year at the festival, I forgot my bombs and stairs for the caverns. This year, I had them and even had an extra lucky day, but forgot that I had Mr. Qi’s quest “Skull Cavern Invasion” on. 😅 So I didn’t get too far either.
In the end though, I’m not too sure what to do with all the eggs anyway except buy the one magic rock candy, as I’m not a huge decorator.
I spent my first day exploring and trying some of the quests. I did Willy’s fishing quest and the race. I used the shady guy to cheat and I’m not sure what effect it had, but I won. I also got a new outfit from Sandy (I actually love it!)
Then I got some food at the chef’s booth and went into the Skull Caverns completely unprepared, no bombs, food or stairs and I only got to level 15.
I collected around 120 eggs that day and am planning to be better prepared tomorrow.
I was thinking about buying magic rock candy, possibly two if I have enough eggs. Any recommendations?
One day I won’t forget to bring bombs but today is not that day.
I leave a chest right outside the door with bombs and supplies. It’s too far from home to mess around with forgetting stuff lol
That is smart. Does it run into the chance the Desert Festival might block it with buildings?
I put it inside the cave to the right of the entrance door. It was unaffected by the festival! Keep some farm totems in there for late night cave diving!
