As a scientist (i.e. someone who went through a lot of academia) who’s strictly opposed to taking a gun, especially in the name of a state, hell no.

A better idea would probably be to advocate for peace, so that people wouldn’t have to learn these things to begin with.

Military is not productive labor, it’s just draining countless lives and resources in the name of some guy’s fucked up ambitions.

Not on my PC rn, but here’s the previous iteration, arguably in between two styles (and also with broken font size in one place, which was fixed later). I like how Mac organizes panels on the top, but I hate the dock panel. The desktop also has KRunner activate near the screen center whenever I type when I’m focused in desktop, so that I could find any apps or perform simple actions super quickly. Still, I decided to not have it open when it’s not running, as I prefer minimalism.

  • Interestingly, we may not be speaking Arabic anyway.

Christianity wouldn’t exist without Jesus as a central figure, and Islam probably wouldn’t exist without Christianity, as there would be no background for archangel Gabriel to deliver God’s “final” revelation, and he would just be the defender of Israelis as told in Hebrew Bible (correct me if I’m wrong).

Without Islam, there would be no single force to fuel Arabic expansionism, and so Arabs would find themselves on a similar ground with European civilizations. Israelis, on their end, could actually expand and permanently settle the land instead of rebuilding their country millennia after.

I wonder what’s your definition of “education”, then. I am familiar with several sources on anarchist theory, which is seemingly what you appeal for.

Policemen are instruments of law, of course. But not having them means all laws become impossible to enforce - and I’d kindly like to be protected from murder, arson, robbery, assault, fraud etc.

In an established anarchist society it is theorized to be possible to go without laws by various means, but our world is not that.

In before times, crimes were easier to stop as people primarily lived in small communities and it was easy to find out and exclude people, which then often meant death.

But even still, plenty of today’s crimes were rampant. As much as I’d love to see anarchism in action, this requires core changes to the structure of society, and we’re not at the point where getting rid of police will be a positive step forward.
