Caddo Lake
Thanks! That is a great reminder to go hunt for the still new-in-package ones I bought for exactly that purpose a few years ago.
It sounds like you are describing the Car Talk method.

I used to do that too. Then I started parking by backing in, frequently (a dozen or more times per day), and found that being able to see the rear corners of my vehicle in the mirrors was infinitely more useful.
You were taught not to physically lean forward? I was literally taught that in a state driver’s education course. It takes your eyes off the road for less time than turning around. You can see your blind spots just fine like that.

Depending on your mirror configuration, you can often check those blind spots in the mirrors themselves by just leaning your body forward.
At one point Fox canceled like 20 other shows, with Greg the Bunny being one of them, between the time Fox cancelled Family Guy, and the time they brought back Family guy.
My book is due back at the library, and I have to rewind it.
Alternatively, people like to meme on the Internet.

What are your thoughts on the Louisiana patient, particularly after the December 26th update regarding sequencing?

And to further drive it home, that’s how we got SARS (civets), MERS (camels), and COVID (bats/pangolins/unknown).
So get the damn flu shot. The new cell-based vaccines are much more likely to match the actively circulating strains than the older egg-based ones (due to so-called egg adaptation).
We nearly had a patient zero in Louisiana already, and their case was only an H5 mutation (not recombination from human strains). https://www.cdc.gov/bird-flu/spotlights/h5n1-response-12232024.html
H5 is widespread in wild birds, and it is spreading to cats. It is only a matter of time.

Damnit not again
It doesn’t directly but it can protect you from also being infected with human flu at the same time. That could easily turn into the patient zero scenario if the virii exchange genes, so it is still important to prevent/mitigate from happening.
I have no idea what you’re trying to say. It’s not a counter example. It is literally the example given in the article, which you quoted.
The awards are more heavily influenced by album sales than subjective judgements of musical quality.
Do you know who Jon Batiste is?
The album won on quality. The sales spiked after the win.
Just me? Or everyone, everywhere, all at once?
