Noooo it was sooo difficult to find how to delete my Facebook account. With warnings like “people losing Facebook often loose their social life, are you really sure?”. And now my nearly empty page is back you say? Cringe.

But I’m not fucked, I try to treat people online like I treat people in real life, like I want people to treat me. I’m not scared of a heated discussion but I prefer to stay civil. So if people want to look me up, that’s fine, I make great coffee.

I only have issues with people who do not respect my boundaries so I prefer to keep them out of my life. But my mom already knows where I live, so still no harm done when my address is posted online.

Why not start yourself? English isn’t the official language of the US either, the US is multilingual but in fact has no recorded official national language.

While as here in The Netherlands we officially consider English not to be a foreign language anymore as the quality and quantity of English speakers so so great, and it’s getting to a level where people are considering to making it an extra official national language.

But what’s the point of making it official? If everyone already speaks English, next to their native language(s), it’s already good right? It’s mostly used for international business, we all have the same currency already, open borders, etc. We all use the metric system, just like the rest of the world (except for the US and a handful of tiny islands).

Here in The Netherlands we teach English, French and German in all primary and high schools next to Dutch, while we have 2 official national languages (Dutch and Frisian). How many languages do they teach in US schools as a basic curriculum?

Knowing more languages gives opportunities, expecting others to learn your language does not.

In Japan and South Korea there are many men who are isolated because of videogames and it’s online culture. They have a relationship with a Nintendo character of AI on their phone (no joke).

Because a lot of lonely men are on the internet, it’s not a correct representation of the real world. Doesn’t change the fact there are many non the less.

Just because there are many different cultures accessable for anyone through the internet, it’s easier to isolate yourself in such a culture. Whether it’s on reddit, 4chan, through games, forums or other social media groups. But it keeps you off the streets, away from real socializing, learning to behave, how to talk to a girl, find a hobby which isn’t on your computer, meet real friends.

Since the time of internet I’ve used Winamp for music, MPC and VLC for videos, Irfanview for images. Now I use Kodi for movies and series, Foobar2000 for music, Irfanview for images and MPC for other videos. Fuck streaming services.

Oh I do, I’m skipping all AAA games. I illegally download them out of curiosity, but often delete them after 30min of playtime. But it still gets me angry because it basically is a major scam. Luring in loads of people with cool looking videos, then to deliver a bug simulator with most content locked behind more purchases (DLC’s, loot boxes, subscriptions), completely unbalanced and abandoned after the fist sale period because fixing the bugs and balance doesn’t provide more income so might as well quit and start a new scam. And then the audacity to complain people should not expect Baldur’s Gate 3 to be a standard to compare other games to. Maybe do see it as a standard and try to create a properly working product with actual decent content worth it’s money?

The graphics are too expensive for AAA games? AAA means they are throwing the highest category budget for developing a game. And they ONLY invest in graphics, discarding the rest like a proper story (if any), decent characters, bug fixing, balancing, etc. Now they create junk only 1% of players with a 4090 can run somewhay decently on medium settings with 30fps average and loads of framedrops.

Wow guys, amazing, thanks I guess, this costed me 80 euros. Can’t you tone down the graphics by at least 60% and focus on the “game” part of the game instead?

Have you tried a different vpn to see if the issue is with the app? I use Proton vpn, works like a charm. You could also lock the app from being shut down. Also, check power settings for the app, maybe it is automatically shut down to save power consumption.

“Santa” in the form you know it is a typical American holiday character. It made it’s way into Russia as well, but it is now used as a symbol of the west like it used to be. What for you may seem as good is something they may see as evil. They have their own “Santa”, as seen in the video, dressed more in the style of the Russian orthodox church.
