You do realize we got Baldurs Gate 3 in the last few years, right?

My dog used to ask me to lock him inside the bathroom to eat so my other dog wouldn’t steal his food.

Baldurs Gate 3 seems like a no brainer

AoE4 strikes a nice balance between old AoE and more modern games if you ask me. You can even play it with a controller if you want.
