I haven’t heard anything from MS on the subject of Xbox since the release of PS5. I think it’s dead in the water.
I only contact people via my QRP rig, CW mode. Don’t talk to me unless you have a valid HAM licence.
Meh, T&T is a bit too simplistic for my tastes. Was a good option for solo gaming back in the day, though.
Who the hell is buying The game of Life nowadays? Boardgamers don’t touch games with roll and move mechanics and small children are too screen addicted to play a board game. The only target market are probably clueless grandmas but even they are too savy to buy a boxed waste of time like this one.
Glad we’re finally moving away from the featureless black rectangle era, might even pick up a foldable once the price drops.
Did you project onto a wall or a projection screen?
Damn, really showing my age here 😳
I’m toying with the idea of just getting an LCD projector - I don’t care about seeing every pore on the actor’s faces, 1024x768 is fine.
And on the other hand I don’t get the obsession with putting so much spice into your dish that you can’t taste the ingredients. “Seasoned” does not automatically mean “so much chilli pepper that it makes you sweat”.
The Postman. Compared to other post apocalyptic cheese fests it feels like a more nuanced display of societal breakdown and the re-emergence of the barter economy.

Vanilla Ubuntu (boo! hiss!). It gets the job done and is out of the box usable with easy flatpak installs. It is 2025, there is no need to tinker with a desktop distro unless you’re deploying on ancient or exotic hardware.
Old video game nostalgia can be easily cured by trying to actually play them today. A lot of them have aged…poorly.
Browbeating people into buying services continues to be unpopular, film at 11.
And the constant lamenting on how we’re behind the syllabus and how we need to move on, like it’s a race and not an educational process.
Short form video and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
Lemmy is the equivalent of your annoying cousin going through a Che Guevara phase: they’re going to spend the most of the holiday mumbling into their chin about “commercialization” and “exploitation”, but you’re nonetheless happy they’re here.
Makes ideology based changes to a system without regards to consequences
Renders it partially functioning at best, completely inoperable at worst.
At least nobody was purged this time.
The Omegaverse and its consequences.
