i can agree at some extent why it could be at 10bits/sec.

the brain is known to do some shortcuts when parsing/speed reading but slows down when we try to extract details from written works. it is also more tiring to scrutinize details than to just read articles.

Depends on who’s funding the investigation. If there’s limited funds, people tend to move on and just accept things as they are.

Another infamous way to go around this is to offer a scapegoat to take the blame.

you warn them you are aware but aren’t complicit to their addictions(hobbies). then you tell them just this time~

you join them anyways.
