I used container native originally because gamers are allergic to the word cloud, rightfully so.

Container native is wrong though, and I’m confident enough now to call it exactly what it is.

SteamOS is more locked down, the root is read only and there’s no layering system so every update completely undoes any changes you might have forced on the root partitions by disabling read only mode.
