  • Possibly! I have replied to this post from my Mastodon account (hopefully that post will show up soon). People on Mastodon can see these posts and interact with them, but it’s kinda clunky. The posts and comments are implemented as boosts. So you post here and I see this on Mastodon:

Every reply will also show as a boost from nostupidquestions@lemmy.world.

I don’t think it works the other way around. I don’t believe you can follow specific AP accounts from here (like you can’t follow my Mastodon account from your Lemmy account). I think they have to be groups/communities. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

  • We were until recently a one car household (my wife and I both work from home). So I drove a 2019 Toyota Camry. Why? Because that’s what my wife wanted.

My sister got a new car so I bought her old one off of her so I could have a backup on the rare times we needed two. It’s a 2012 Ford Fiesta. Why? Because it was cheap ($2k) and it gets good gas mileage. I also like the car because I’m a minimalist at heart. It’s very simple and I like that.

  • We are given 24th/25th off. Most people supplement this on either side of the date with PTO. I never do because:

    • I am not Christian and don’t care about Christmas.
    • I have no children so I don’t have much to concern myself with this time of year.
    • Many of my co-workers are Christian and do have children so I forego time off so we have enough coverage that they can spend time doing religious/family things.
    • I have mental health issues and keeping as much of a routine as possible helps.

  • The people who are taking up extra space are trying to tell you that they’d rather sit alone than talk to a stranger on the bus/train/etc.

They will move their stuff so that you can sit down if you ask. There is no trouble in asking and you don’t need to “pick the biggest guy.” Just ask someone “may I sit here, please?” That works 99% of the time.

What happened, he ended up vacating the seat and like a preschooler wanted to know why him and not everybody else.

That’s because some person yelled at him for what should have been a very civil and simple conversation.
