In a world where the governance of AI was adequate and the spoils it created redistributed to benefit all (and thus thoroughly look after those who lost their job from AI replacement) I would LOVE AI to be created.
In a world where either or both of those aren’t properly in place, I’d sooner be without it.
By extension I’m saying the US is pretty much the worst place for AI to be invented.
Do you have a source for this claim? I’d like to repeat it elsewhere…
FWIW, I switched to Linux due to the amazing container support and haven’t looked back in terms of running software. The easy set up, tear down, and common monitoring makes it far more convenient to host stuff on Linux.

Norway is a terrible example for a “country that has socialism”. They have the largest sovereign oil fund except the Saudis. They’re managing it incredibly well. But it’s never the less a country that oil built.
Use Sweden or Denmark or Finland. But Norway is not a good example; anything would work in that country.
