There is, but doesn’t explain why there’s more upvotes on the post than the comment. Most people would downvote the post after reading that comment, but it’s usually higher anyway. (and sometimes it’s not, I know)

The man is old af. 8 years is too long either way.
Just look at front page on reddit. Basically half of the headlines are misleading.
Maybe we should create a citizen proposal for this in the EU actually.
They might listen to these kind of things, because they are very aware of monopolies and closed ecosystems.
Then by 2029 this might be mandatory.
Google was using their monopoly to take away user choices. This is a long term win for everyone, but you can’t see it if you only think shortsighted.
Google COULD just enable a choice in map provider, but they just refused.
True. Google is using a monopoly and forcing users to use Google Maps on their platform.
There’s no competition, and everyone is worse of. It’s a long term good change by the EU.
Influencers are making an extreme amount of money, and Meta doesn’t get a bite of that specific cake.
Now they make their own influencers to funnel that money away from the people and into the company instead.
If they succeed with making popular AI bots, they can control user buying behaviour and political views like no other. Because you are much more likely to follow a “person” you trust than an ad. (the reason why influencers are a success to begin with.)
Yeah, what’s up with that? Nuclear works well for France, so why did it fall out of favor in Germany?
Lobbying (corruption).
That’s nothing to them.
Very weak legal system that is.
What a weird rumor, you’re trying to start.
He did mention it btw.
They don’t join him AT ALL.
Musky is doing it for his own gain, and only to stiffel competition.
Encode have a legitimate interest in the public (so far)
This is a 100% noob question, I know.
But can someone who used Lineage and Graphene say why they prefer the one they do?
I’m standing between choosing one.
You don’t think there’s more Google accounts + phones + tablets + people changing phones, than population on Earth?
AI writes in all languages. Also mandarin.
You are not making bad points in your comment, but your first paragraph threw everyone off. As it should.
I get where you are going to let Apple reveal software code for end-of-life devices, but I can’t see why it is related to the USB-C law. The law is not about Apple, but all devices. That’s why it’s good for e-waste.
And it’s true - no current owner of an iPhone with lightning will feel this. It’s harmless for consumers. But as soon as they get the USB-C port, they’ll know what they missed not having to bring their charger freaking everywhere.
It costs 1 billion dollars to develop solar cells before they even sell the first product.
The costed 100.000 dollars when starting to sell.
They go for under 10 bucks per square today.
And it’s like that for any technology ever invented.
Yes. Apple is defaulting Google in their browsers and search in general. Google is paying Apple. Google is using the data they get when people search on Apple products.
They don’t care if they earn money the next 5-7 years.
And they will hit the point of a great model doing human work for less than a monthly salary. It’s just a matter of time.
Well, yeah, they hand over everything to Google when using their search engine by default. It’s definitely a business for Apple.
They keep their image as privacy friendly, while taking cool cash to let others harvest the data. Stonks.
Exactly my point in my comment above the other.
