thanks for this revelation. I’m going to look down the rabbit hole for myself. what a story if his account is true.
they have a good song about hating the weekends in Seattle… Amazon is for sure to blame for a lot of it
Do you listen to Tacocat?
use the rss feed in your favorite podcast app, it should have a feature to subscribe with a rss address. on android I use Beyond-Pod and it works great with an rss feed. populates pictures and everything
Basically, Machine A is plugged into ISP, it can only route to what ISP has in its routing tables which usually creates a long list but it really is just a list that is built on ISP knowing a friend and that friend knowing a friend and that friend knowing a friend until that friend knows the ISP that hosts the system you are trying to get to. It happens in a blink of the eye but still its a big game of who is friends.
I’m defending my argument that the first comment was indeed whataboutism. Are you confused?
Whataboutism or whataboutery (as in “what about …?”) is a pejorative for the strategy of responding to an accusation with a counter-accusation instead of a defense against the original accusation.
it’s whataboutism
have you seen the 2013 movie Her?
mmmm Phở
There are 50 states in the USA. They generally have the same rules of the road but you are being an idiot if you think that all states have the same laws. Does any other coalition in the world work like that?
people down voting you but IMO
they just want to complain and pretend they are better than others.
is absolutely an American trait.
Even more reason for staying as far away from anything meta/fakebook
that would be spot on!
The last battle is so much better in the book because for whatever reason, they couldn’t get rights to Godzilla and other major popular characters.
Just imagine the whole of the internet, everyone basically, in their avatar’s with the best equipment they have gathered and all trying to fight the big bad corp to help the dude who is a nobody that seems to be doing the best at the “game”. Five of the people have super avatars that can become giant and are super powered (rewards from previous challenges in the game). So there is a major battle at this castle with everyone in the world and the bad guy turns on his super suit and become Mechagodzilla (which is the biggest and baddest of the 5) and starts killing everyone.
It makes that battle in the movie a real joke.
No Country For Old Men
I feel the reason that this movie is so good is because it is almost 100% exactly as the story in book
I had listened to the audio book before I saw the movie. The movie is so off the mark on the ridiculous life of Forest Gump. My favorite part of the book is that Jenny leaves him, she doesn’t die, she leaves him because he becomes a major pot head.
I find they are always on when I stay at hotels. A few years ago it was always Harry Potter, now its always John Wick. The first movie is pretty good to watch in one sitting. But I am convinced the rest of the series is mean to be consumed in 5-10 minute chunks. Like coming and going through the hotel room while your doing other things. For that its pretty good cause you don’t have to know any story to follow it for a minute or two. Just have to remember that you don’t need to know who is who because they will probably die in the story soon anyways.
The Ready Player One book isn’t that good but it is fun. The movie was a shitshow that doesn’t even resemble the same story.
