Im pretty sure matrix.org data has been and will be sharing data with law enforcement. Even if you use encryption, they collect loads of metadata. With smaller servers it depends on local jurisdiction i guess.

I mean you are faster on a bicycle than walking, so if it uses him as a power source, then he could probably go faster with it than the he can run.
Its sad that nerds have to fix the internet to make it usable again but im glad i could help :)
That is indeed odd yeah, but you can still worship the idea of guillotines without being sure who let the blade fall.
I mean if you write things that would lead to the instance being shut down if they arent deleted, then yeah, that will get “suppressed”.
But i agree, some mods/admins were a bit trigger happy.
Umana’s posts are pro-Luigi (and some have unorthodox angles, like saying he wasn’t the shooter, which authorities have charged him with).
Ah yes because someone is “being charged”, that means that its unorthodox to presume innocence…
Not what you asked for but if you are using uBlock Origin then you can go to
Settings > Filter lists > Import
and paste this URL into the Import field https://gitflic.ru/project/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-clean-filters/blob/raw?file=bpc-paywall-filter.txt (The repo has been bullied off official gitlab and github multiple times thats why its there now)
This is just a set of rules for blocking the code for paywalls on lots of websites including the one this article is on.
Once you hit apply it should look something like this
Epic doesnt give games away. They give temporary licenses to games away which they can always take from you. Epic uses this to get people onto and dependent on their platform so they can then extract money from them. GOG has no way to extract money from people like that and has no leverage against their customers.
With GOG you can download all game files to your local storage and play them even if GOG goes to shit. Thats the difference. But yes Steam is the same as Epic in that regard.
And thats exactly why Epic is untrustworthy. Its like a shady guy on the corner saying “Hey i will give you 500 bucks if you just do this easy little thing for me. Will be done right away no worries”.
Oh i thought it did the motion recognition with a camera, but it actually uses a type of radar.
oh ok i thought you were considering tunneling that things traffic through tor somehow
There is a stereo microphone and a camera in that thing. What good would Tor do in that case? That data would still make its way to google, unless you can root the whole thing and put a custom OS on it.
There are web calculators where you put in your latitude, angle of the panels and total kWp of your installation. It then spits out a kWh prediction for the year. Might still be shitty to find a good one tho. I can tell you that the system i installed at my parents house with 10 kWp has produced 8.4MWh of AC output this year. I live in southern Germany which is around 48° latitude and it was pretty gray and rainy this summer so could be much better.
This is daily total generation in kWh split up by how much went into the battery vs directly into live usage in the house vs exported to the grid.
This shows the sources of all the electricity that the house used over the year on any given day. Red being imported electricity.
I think as long as all the training data and the results are public and free to use and modify there is no moral problem beyond artist livelihood which is sad but just a part of life. Jobs have come and gone for as long as humans exist, its something we have to accept long term.
So far artists themselves are still very good at catching even high quality AI pictures tho. AI models produce something that only looks like human art on the surface, but it still misses lots of things. In many cases it wont replace existing art because often the human and the story behind art is what makes people appreciate it.
