Can confirm, I bought my LG OLED 65" in 2019 and… it’s a little slow (sluggish UI) but the display is still amazing. Great sound, too.

How would a lack of people using hardware toggles even make it worthless?

You misunderstood/I wasn’t clear. I was referring to the ease of which you can verify that the hardware does what it is supposed to do. If you can verify it easily, but don’t, the ease has no meaning.

So… Do you verify all/most of your hardware toggles? Personally?

And no, I don’t use software toggles. I don’t use any toggles on my phone, except Bluetooth to save battery. 🤷‍♂️ You guessed wrong. Maybe don’t be so smug about trying to “read” someone. It ends up being super cringe when it’s wrong. 🫣

Ah. So it’s basically a “guilty by association” type of argument. Despite doing everything in your power to be a good cop, by being employed by the same place that employs a bad cop/bad cops, you’re a bad cop.

I… have mixed feelings. I could have some bias because my brother is to study at the university to become a cop. He’s a humble, standup guy. Again, possible bias, and it’s anecdotal, but I didn’t think ACAB before learning he was to study to become a cop, either.

It just doesn’t make sense to me that everyone that looks to become a cop is that type of power hungry snake/murderer that you sometimes see in videos. Some people just want to serve and protect their community. Some just want the excitement of booking bad guys. Some have their own unique reason for becoming a cop. And some seek an outlet to exert power over innocent people. But not everyone, I just can’t believe that.

I guess it boils down to a definition of “bad” in the end? To me, it feels unjust to treat all cops the same just because they are all cops. Bad apples should be treated as bad apples, and good ones as good apples. In the end, the good apples are fighting a good fight IMO, and people in all lines of work sometimes have to work alongside people doing less good than them, or just straight up evil.

Nobody is “weird” about Asians or Jews where I live, that I know of. I’m even half west-Asian myself. Nobody had been weird about it to me, ever. I was always met with positivity regarding my heritage. Surprised to see you say this, to be honest.

Coming from northern Europe, we are usually surprised to see so many smokers when we vacation in the more southern parts of Europe. It used to be common here too, growing up in the 90s. But it just stopped. Very rarely do I see anyone with a cigarette, even outdoors. Cigarette butts are a rare find on the ground.

I’m happy about it. I hate smoking. But the snuff pandemic has to stop too. Many of my friends use it, and have for decades. I don’t understand why people don’t just choose not to put toxins in their body. So stupid. And they even pay to do it, too. A significant amount of money. So mf dumb.
