I don’t read my replies
We have a constellation of satellites constantly broadcasting the most accurate time humans can measure and it’s crazy every device doesn’t have an antenna to pick this up and set the time.
At some meeting someone asked: “AI is going to change everything. How is it going to change the Windows experience”? And recall was the best they could come up with.
“spices” were valued for their exclusivity, or because rich people ate them.
For example, allium plants like garlic and onion were viewed with suspicion and disgust, even considered poisons. This isn’t because they don’t taste good, more that anybody with a garden could grow them. Meanwhile, spices like nutmeg, which only grow in far-off places were coveted.
This is also the probable explanation for prohibitions on pork. Pigs are the meat of the poor, because you don’t need much land or resources to raise them. That old wives tale about trichinosis implies that ancient people were too stupid to cook their pork thoroughly while consuming chicken and fish that had the same illness and parasite problems as pigs.
This article’s reasoning is faith based. The cornerstone assumption is that industry profits and layoffs obey the preferences of the market.
To those who follow the industry, this is demonstrably false. What follows is the lack of awareness on full display:
and even though Spider-Man 2 sold more than 11 million copies, several members of Insomniac lost their jobs when Sony announced 900 layoffs in February.
This is like a soup joint that’s trying to see how much they can piss in the broth before customers notice.
This man owns a two story home in the Chicago suburbs with an attic and a basement. The conflict of the story is how he won’t be able to add a pool to this palace. He lusts after some random girl at the mall when Beverly DiAngelo is right there.
I will never relate to this man.
Posts complaining about “politics” and “propaganda” are invariably made by people who want to see those things, just the kind aligned with their politics.
I think the first time I saw this meme format was around 2002-2004. And I’ve seen it 10,000 times since then. And if OP is posting this in good faith, this will be the first time.
And BTW, there is no such thing as a space without propaganda or politics. Only spaces where the politics and propaganda are homestyle and cozy.
The ironic part is that the sexist marketing was formulated by non-gamers who had nothing but mocking contempt for players.
The classic ads where dudes would choose to play games rather than touch a beautiful woman was meant to be ironic. Video game players back then were stereotyped as people too young or too pathetic to have access to a woman.
In the book “the road” the protagonist gives the following advice to his young son. “once you put something in your head, it’s there forever. You should think about that”.
The first half of your comment is an acknowledgement that you don’t understand American culture and the second half is you casting declarative judgement upon it.
I don’t know which one of your minds to respond to.
With something called sodium citrate and a splash of milk, you can make quality cheese behave like Velveeta. Search “sodium citrate” cheese if your interested. Oh, and you can make sodium citrate from baking soda and limes so it’s not like it’s unhealthy or anything.
I happen to loathe Velveeta because of Jimmy Carter so I was excited to get my nachos at home again.
It’s a good point that competition can drive animals to areas they wouldn’t choose. But it’s also true that pioneering a new niche can lead to animals thriving rather than just surviving.
It’s not your fault. Pop psychology refuses to die. There is plenty of crap in good standing among scientists that’s absolute garbage.
The whole branch of evolutionary psychology is so subjective and immune from experiment it’s a bastion for cranks, misogynists, and scientific racists. And speaking of Scientific racism: IQ does not measure intelligence.
FYI: The idea of a “lizard brain” is an outdated concept in neurology and evolution. The structure of modern brains, even in regions shared by mammals and reptiles, have novel and ancestral neurons showing that these regions haven’t remained static in reptiles, much less mammals.
Because I’m not allowed to read the article to know if this is mentioned: a big reason why this would aggravate Wukong fans is that Nintendo is a Japanese company.
