  • The biggest issue for me is compatibility.

Swippitt works with any phone as long as there’s a case designed for it. That way, a single hub can serve a whole household of people with different phone models.

Makes sense. Similar to the replacement phone batteries we used to go l have…

At launch, it will offer cases for the iPhone 14, 15, and 16 series, and the company plans to expand with Samsung Galaxy S series cases by the end of 2025.

Soo… They’ll support some iPhones at launch, and in about a year, they hope to support some Galaxy phones. If being a hub is one of your selling points, that’s a very underwhelming, limited list.

  • I read a YA book about someone methodically planning, then stealing a computerized chess board (a big deal in the 80’s/early 90’s). They recorded people saying different words for the audio message telling the clerk to lock themself in the BATHROOM, timed it out, etc. While this obviously wasn’t me, it always stuck with me, and I somehow got secondhand guilt from it…

  • Lol, “access your data” is a little different from “overwrite cookies, now sending all promised creator revenue to Honey”. Also, it found discounts, but stores had full control over how much, and even if it didn’t give you a discount, it still claimed all referral revenue… Don’t act like that was all obvious, intuitive, and known by you, it wasn’t.
