That relies on users knowing every sub similar to the one they want to cross post to. It also still fragments comments to each instance.
That just gives you a jumbled mess of everything, which is IMO pretty useless. I want everything pertaining to a subject/interest in a single place, despite being scattered over multiple subs in multiple instances.
This is the biggest flaw and issue with the fediverse and Lemmy, it’s too damn fragmented with no good way to easily consolidate content from similar, or even identical, communities across instances. So people end up gravitating towards the same few that have the most content.
Are you referring to the case where what proton handed over was only identifiable information because the moron chose their appleID email as recovery email and law enforcement got their real identity from that and not actually from proton?
Why do you think gyms make their memberships so difficult to leave
Seems like something that’s mostly just an issue in the US. I just went online and cancelled my gym membership, it was like 3 clicks and I got a confirmation email of which day was the last day of the membership. Never heard from them since.
It’s a company that is bankrupt, so hopefully they achieve that their customers can continue using the product after they’ve shut down the company completely.
Learning mandarin seems the better option then…
What’s with the cheese thing then? Do people in general eat more cheese than usual these days?
I don’t get it…you eat an especially large amount of cheese between Christmas and new years eve? But why the confusion part?
As with everything marketing, words mean nothing they just sound cool.
I mean, “serverless computing” has always only meant that it’s “serverless” for the customer who buys the compute power in the sense that they don’t have to bother the slightest with the architecture or managing it. Not really anything to reveal there…
If its a cheap crappy one, the compressor is on/off depending on temperature. Decent ones will have a VFD to manage the load of the compressor so it doesn’t have to turn on/off all the time but just regulates the compressor load to match heating/cooling requirement. Both have their own controls, and you generally shouldn’t mess with them.
They should’ve thought of that before they stopped having children. /s
Still pretty impressive ratio though
Having to haul a trailer of some sort would be really annoying for long road trips because of the speed limits towing entails. Not to mention the nightmare it is to find parking with a trailer, and even worse charging that accommodates room for a trailer.
I’ve been road tripping around Europe a few times in my EV, and the car is always done charging before the kids are done on the toilet and we have restocked snacks/coffee/gotten an ice cream. Having a break for every ~2-3h of driving is also extremely nice I found, you arrive much less trashed. It’s actually only annoying when you stop to eat lunch/dinner, because you have to move the car before you’re done eating because it’s finished charging.
